When?

Fox TV’s rating coup with Who Wants to Marry a Multimillionaire? has turned into a fiasco. There are charges that groom Rick Rockwell isn’t really a multimillionaire and allegedly abused a former girlfriend. And bride Darva Conger, who met Rockwell on the show, wondered in public “what was I thinking?” and has declared the match over. Fox chairman Sandy Grushow now says the network’s exploitation shows are done for too. “They’re gone; they’re over,” he said, promising to eliminate “anything that is exploitative, that reeks of desperation, anything that’s merely out for ratings.” (RC/AP) ...Which pretty much would eliminate their entire lineup.
Story Update: Grushow was Chairman of Fox Entertainment until 2004.
