Terrible Teacher

A restaurant in DeBary, Fla., called the sheriff to report a patron had been there drinking alcohol for an hour — and had a child with her. When a deputy arrived the woman was gone, so the deputy went to monitor traffic in a nearby school zone. A car sped through, going 36 mph in the 20 zone, and he pulled it over. The driver matched the description of the drunk. The deputy asked what she had been doing at the restaurant. Home-schooling her 8-year-old, she said, for a restaurant “teaching lesson.” Sheilah Jones, 48, measured a blood alcohol level of 0.178 and 0.174 percent, double the legal limit. She was arrested on charges of DUI and child neglect. (RC/Daytona Beach News-Journal) ...Hopefully the kid learned a better lesson than the mom intended.
