Thanks, I Needed That!

After they were apprehended, Darrel Horne, 28, and Matthew Shrider, 27, explained they were on their way to visit a friend in Pierson, Fla., when they ran out of gas. To take a shortcut, they allegedly stole a boat to cross a lake; a witness called the sheriff. A deputy quickly arrived and ordered the men to return to shore. Shrider complied, but “Horne started to curse at the deputies and take off his clothes,” said Volusia County Sheriff’s spokesman Brandon Haught. “He then dove in and swam in the opposite direction, cursing and making hand gestures as he went.” Other deputies took him into custody, and when Horne was put in the back of a patrol car with Shrider, he started kicking his accomplice. When a deputy intervened, Horne demanded “Taser me. Taser me, bro.” When he started kicking Shrider again, the deputy did just that. “Later,” Haught notes, “Horne apologized to deputies and thanked them for Tasering him.” (RC/South Florida Sun-Sentinel) ...And it’s a lot easier on the cop than the idiots who demand, “Shoot me!”
