That’ll Teach Him

When a teacher fired a handgun during class in Fairfield County, Ohio, the bullet ricocheted off a desk and into student Michael Piemonte’s right arm. The teacher, Terry J. Dunlap Sr, 73, was trying to demonstrate the handgun: the class was on gun safety; the students were pursuing concealed-carry licenses. Nurses taking the class assisted Piemonte, 26, on the scene, and he was taken to the hospital but released the same day. No charges were filed against Dunlap, who is a Violet Township trustee and runs a shooting range. Piemonte said he guessed Dunlap didn’t realize the handgun was loaded. (AC/Columbus Dispatch) ...Hadn’t the class covered the principle that all guns are to be presumed loaded?
