Things That Go Bump in the Night

Investigators were perplexed when a landscaping business in Hopkinton, N.H., exploded at 1:30 in the morning. Two bodies were found in the destroyed building, but neither was the landscaper. They were apparently burglars. The State Fire Marshal figured out what happened: Lucas Burke, 21, and Ethan Keeler, 20, were using a blowtorch to break into a safe inside the workshop. And what was inside? Fireworks. The resulting blast “blew their bodies apart,” said Thomas Komisarek, who owns the business. Once morning broke, Komisarek excused himself. “I have to go to work,” he said. “There’s nothing else I can do.” (RC/New Hampshire Union Leader) ...The boss never gets a day off with pay.
