This Dud’s for You

Andrew Price, a former employee at a pub in Uphill, England, was drinking at the pub, but when graffiti was found in the men’s room, he was accused of having written it. When management told him to leave, he got mad and called them “communists,” then walked to the house where he had been staying as a houseguest. Still angry and drunk, he made two Molotov cocktails to firebomb the pub. But instead of gasoline, he used diesel fuel in the recipe, which would not explode on impact. He then fell asleep in the yard, and the homeowner found the two devices and called police. Price admitted he had planned to use his ‘cocktails’ against the pub. He has a prior conviction for arson committed at a previous pub job and was sentenced to two years in jail. (JW/Bristol Evening Post) ...The message he’d scrawled on the men’s room wall: “I’m an idiot and I can prove it!”
