This is My Mom — She is from Hell
A friend called Althea Ricketts, 62, to tell her that her son had posted something on Facebook that “indicated he might try to hurt himself.” Her response, say police in Apopka, Fla., was for her to beat him with an electrical cord because he was not allowed to use Facebook. She told police that “hitting a child with a cable is a common way of disciplining kids where she comes from.” The boy ran away, and was found at a friend’s house — with injuries consistent with being beaten with an electrical cord. She told the parents there that the unnamed boy (no age was provided) “deserved everything he got.” Ricketts was arrested and charged with aggravated child abuse, and held without bail.
