To Savor the Experience

Lamont Johns, 37, was shot just outside the municipal building where he works in Wilkinsburg, Pa. There were witnesses: the building also houses the police department, and detectives saw the two men arguing in the parking lot, then saw one pull a gun and shoot the other. When Johns fell, the shooter fired two more shots at him in the leg and groin. Johns survived, and told police that he did not know his attacker. When officers caught up with the suspect, David Bush, 36, he insisted he wasn’t trying to kill Johns. “After I shot him,” Bush told investigators, “I made sure he was alive.” (JW/Pittsburgh Gazette) ...“Wasn’t trying to kill him” is just his excuse for lousy marksmanship.
