Tough Love

After a robbery at a Bank of America in Grand Rapids, Mich., police released a photo of the suspect to the media. A man recognized the woman in the photo and called police with her name and location. She was his mother, Dee Ann Sanders, 53, he said, and she was at his house. Police arrested Sanders, and she allegedly confessed to the robbery during an interview with FBI agents and a Kent County Sheriff’s detective. “Sanders further stated that she was stressed about problems with her husband, causing her to have crack-cocaine addiction-related urges,” the FBI agent wrote. The robbery note had demanded $2,500 for her children and grandchildren, and bank records show her total take at $1,092. (MS/Grand Rapids Press) ...Apparently her son didn’t want any crack.
