Turnabout Intruder

Eldon Alexander, 36, and Korin Vanhouten, 47, were grabbed by security at a supermarket in Ogden, Utah, for allegedly shoplifting makeup, energy bars, and batteries. Police responded and cited the couple for shoplifting, and released them. As the officer was leaving, “He sees the two suspects trying to flag him down in the parking lot,” a police spokesman says. While they were shoplifting, someone broke into their pickup truck, they reported. Sure enough, store security camera footage shows the break-in, and the theft of the vehicle’s stereo and other items. Total value of the stuff ripped off from their truck: $60. Total value of what they allegedly shoplifted: $25. (RC/Deseret News) ...Perfect.
