Viral Harm

Last time you saw John Pike, it was probably in a viral image of a university cop blasting student demonstrators right in the face with military-grade pepper spray. He was the cop. University of California Davis police Chief Matthew Carmichael fired him after the incident. Now, Pike has filed for workers’ compensation, claiming that after becoming infamous, he suffered “nervous system/psychiatric” harm. He also allegedly suffered 17,000 emails, 10,000 texts, and some food deliveries he didn’t want. (AC/Sacramento Bee) ...He’s also suing Sears because he hit himself with a hammer.
