The Society for New Bulgaria political party has put up a candidate for mayor of the town of Varna: Marko the Donkey. “Unlike the other mayor candidates and politicians,” says party spokesman Angel Dyankov, “the donkey has a strong character, doesn’t steal, doesn’t lie, and gets work done.” (RC/London Metro) ...The ass won the election?
