Wanderlust

A city hall employee in Bradenton, Fla., found a door to the adjoining police station unlocked. A review of surveillance footage revealed Detective Ross Johnson and his undercover partner allegedly walking through city hall at night with flashlights. In interviews, the men allegedly claimed they turned a latch up and around so the door would not lock, so that they could use the bathroom in city hall. Police investigators note they used a screwdriver to jimmy the lock. The detectives claimed they did this because the city hall bathroom was “nice” and “more sanitary,” while the detectives’ bathroom in the police department office was “nasty.” One of the officers has been fired, and the other faces unspecified disciplinary measures. (MS/WWSB Sarasota) ...They were lucky: jail toilets are much more nasty.
