What, No Tip?

The manager of the Waffle House in Springfield, Mo., says three women came into the restaurant around 6:15 a.m., dined, and then ran when they were handed their bill for $39.31. When the manager called police, he said he had a lead as to the women’s identities: two of them had left their purses behind when they ran, and he had locked them in his office. Before police arrived, the manager says, one of the women returned and “demanded” he turn the purses over to her, but he refused. Police didn’t release the identities of the women, but noted both purses contained paycheck stubs — the suspects are apparently employed at another Waffle House. (RC/Springfield News-Leader) ...So they’ll be pretty capable of doing assigned chores in the jail mess hall, won’t they?
