What Were They Smoking?

Wesley Fehl, 22, was robbed. He and friend Kenneth Jones, 20, had gone to a house in Daytona, Fla., to buy 20 pounds of marijuana, but when they went inside, the men they were to buy the dope from jumped them and took the money Fehl brought to make the purchase — $12,000 in cash. When the robbers escaped, Fehl and Jones chased after them, calling police during the pursuit. The police dispatcher advised Fehl to cut off the chase because the men had guns. “But he’s got my money!” he replied. Craig Anthony Williams, 34, who lives in the house, and his alleged accomplice, Lavarus Peterkin, 29, were charged with armed robbery. Fehl and Jones may also be charged. “We’re still evaluating everyone’s actions,” a police spokesman said.
