Whee!

A 7-year-old girl rode her plastic Hot Wheels car at about 5 to 10 mph down a Sarasota, Fla., street. But now her grandparents are in trouble: police said it was their SUV that was pulling the girl’s toy car that fast, tied to the bumper by two dog leashes. Her grandfather was driving, and her grandmother was riding in the back with the hatch open, cheering her on, police said. According to the arrest report, Paul J. Berloni, 49, and Belinda Jean Berloni, 47, “failed to provide adequate supervision for the child and put the child in a situation that could have easily resulted in great bodily harm, permanent disfigurement or even death.” Both were charged with child endangerment, and Mr. Berloni was charged with driving under the influence — with a suspended license. (AC/Sarasota Herald-Tribune) ...And the police were charged with having no sense of fun.
