Where No One Is Outvoted

Ann Grant was alone at the Democratic caucus in her precinct outside Fort Collins, Colo., unless you count her husband — but Butch Hartson is a Republican, and attended a different caucus, also all by himself. Redistricting made the Hartson-Grant home the state’s smallest precinct, with just two voters — with the couple in opposing parties. (They keep their political differences “in perspective,” Grant said.) So what do you do at a one-person caucus? “I had a drink, talked with the other Republican in the room — me — got bored and went to bed,” said Hartson. (AC/Denver Post) ...If he wanted excitement, he’d have rented his basement to a couple of Ron Paul supporters.
