You’d Have to be Drunk to Take Such a Political Risk

The state controls all liquor sales in New Hampshire, and the state’s new $3.3 million liquor store in Nashua is stunning. At 20,000 square feet, it’s the largest in the state. Among its innovations: special parking spaces for hybrid and low-emission cars, which are closer to the entrance than the special parking spaces for the handicapped. Liquor Commission Chairman Joseph Mollica said the placement is no oversight: they did it on purpose, as that helped the new store qualify for federal Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (or “LEED”) certification. (RC/Manchester Union-Leader) ...It also helps quite a bit with their Governmental Ruthlessness and Evilness — Eastern Division (or “GREED”) certification.
