21st Century Vanity

When someone “tagged” a photo of Monica Hargrove on Facebook, the online service popped up a notification to the woman, who didn’t like it one bit: it was “unflattering” to her, she thought. She called the person who posted it to complain — a detective with the Columbus, Ohio, Police Dept. It was a “Wanted” poster. The detective offered to take the photo down if the 34-year-old woman came in to talk with him. Sure enough, she went to police headquarters, where she was promptly arrested on charges of robbery, aggravated robbery, and kidnaping. True to the detective’s word, the photo was taken off Facebook.
