’Til Death Do You Part
Christopher I. Hauptmann, 44, of Shamokin, Pa., married Kaylee Durovick, 18, in 2017. Northumberland County Court has ruled this constituted bigamy, since Hauptmann married Shannon Deitrich in Florida under the name Christopher Buckley in 2016, and never divorced her. Deitrich was upset enough that she testified against her husband in court. Part of that upset may be due to the fact that Durovick is Deitrich’s daughter, and her daughter is still living with him. Judge Paige Rosini sentenced Hauptmann, a bail bondsman, to 364-729 days in prison, with credit for the 332 days he was in jail awaiting trial and couldn’t raise bail, plus 10 years of probation. (RC/Harrisburg Patriot-News) ...And here he thought he had trouble getting along with his first mother-in-law.Original Publication Date: 28 January 2018
