Alarming Crime

Marlon Gene Kelley, 53, has been sentenced to 3–12 years in prison after police discovered a large-scale marijuana “manufacturing” operation at his home in Muskegon, Mich. Time was added for being a felon in possession of a firearm and possessing a firearm while committing a felony, with more time added for him being a fourth-time habitual offender. How did police stumble upon his operation? He went out and set his burglar alarm, but left his door unlocked. Something tripped the alarm, and responding officers, finding an unlocked door, went inside to check the house. Kelley was arrested when he got home. (RC/Muskegon Chronicle) ...He can count on even tighter security at his new home.
