Q: Why would I want to pay more than the minimum rate?

  2. I think that you have to be signed onto YouTube to be able to see the transcript. I refuse to obtain a google account.

    Don’t blame you a bit. I just checked and that appears to be true: when I tried it with a different browser, clicking the Transcript button pushed me to the top of the Youtube window, and playing the video showed the transcript as captions. So yes, you can read, but lose the ability to skim quickly, which is half the point of a transcript. -rc
