Why I essentially have no allergies anymore — and no more migraines! Plus: Resident turnover is part of the design.
This video series is a classic Ask Me Anything, with 1-2 questions answered each week. It’s for ThisIsTrue.com readers who are curious about whatever. Questions are accepted (only) from Premium subscribers. My wife and I live on a Residential Cruising ship, and I record from my office there.
Questions in this Episode:
- 0:17 Glenn in Calif.: I think one of your motivations to leave Colorado was allergies. How is that working out?
- 1:34 Roxanne in Virginia: Did you ever manage to get over your migraines?
- 7:57 Alex in Florida: 1. How full is the ship? Not what percent of cabins are full, but how full does it feel?
- 10:10 2. Have many passengers left the ship since Ireland after deciding the lifesyle wasn’t for them?

Since Youtube Comments are typically a vast, brain-free wasteland of obliviocy, I’m putting the videos on my site where there can be intelligent discussion. The comments are NOT a place to ask questions.

This page is an example of my style of “Thought-Provoking Entertainment”. This is True is an email newsletter that uses “weird news” as a vehicle to explore the human condition in an entertaining way. If that sounds good, click here to open a subscribe form.
To really support This is True, you’re invited to sign up for a subscription to the much-expanded “Premium” edition:
Q: Why would I want to pay more than the minimum rate?
A: To support the publication to help it thrive and stay online: this kind of support means less future need for price increases (and smaller increases when they do happen), which enables more people to upgrade. This option was requested by existing Premium subscribers.
Do they have a barber shop on the ship? 😉

But of course! But I’m waiting for it to get long enough to cut. -rc
Interestingly, my husband is using Propranolol for essential tremor, and I use Metropolol for A-fib. They are both widely used drugs for many symptoms.
Both our adult children, 55 & 57, have migraines inherited from the other side of the family. I don’t think either of them have ever been subscribed calcium or beta blockers. I will mention it to them. Thanks for the info.

I think it’s now pretty well acknowledged that betas work better than the CC-blockers, but if betas don’t work for them after giving it plenty of time, it couldn’t hurt to try the other. -rc
