Beefcake Meets Cheescake
Six uniformed police officers were turned away from dining at the Cheesecake Factory in Tacoma, Wash., when the manager noticed they had their service pistols on their belts. “We were told the guns are not allowed, whether you are law enforcement or not, they are not welcome,” says Miriam Nichols, one of the officers, even though “When we walked in, no one in our group saw any sign that said no firearms allowed.” The restaurant’s corporate headquarters apologized “To the extent that there was a miscommunication of our policy” by the manager.
