Boss Betrayed & Burgled

The “cyber security unit” of the Bed, Bath & Beyond store chain was suspicious of brand new merchandise appearing on eBay. They bought one item, traced the serial number to their store in Lady Lake, Fla., and realized the eBay seller was the husband of the store’s manager. Manager Jamie Deske, 33, allegedly admitted she took some items out of the store in her purse, and put larger merchandise in a trash bag and left it behind the store for her husband, Steven Deske, 49, to pick up and sell on eBay. Police say the couple stole and sold 31 items worth more than $11,000. Deske was fired, and she and her husband were arrested on grand theft charges. (RC/Leesburg Daily Commercial) ...Well, now we know what the “Beyond” part means.
