Bzzzt — Game Over

When the power went out in a neighborhood in Detroit, Mich., at 4:00 a.m., an employee from the Detroit Public Lighting Department went to check the substation that powered that area. He found a door had been pried open, and inside he found the problem: two men apparently went inside to steal “materials” there, probably copper, police think. They touched a 24,000-volt transformer, which fused their bodies together. “It’s very horrific,” said police Capt. Kyra Joy Hope. “If I had to paint a picture or to say anything to anyone, this is not the way to go.” She did not provide the identity of the men. “We have two, that we know, two black males,” she said.
