Cheers
A witness called police in Lowell, Mass., to say a woman appeared to be driving drunk. She led the responding officer on a pursuit, but eventually pulled over. When the officer approached her car, she fled again. After doing that twice, other officers were able to box her in, and Andrea Rego, 33, was given a field sobriety test. The officer told her to stand on one foot, but instead Rego did a later test that hadn’t been explained to her yet, the “nine step walk and turn.” That gave the officer the suspicion that she had been through this before. Sure enough, it’s was Rego’s third drunk-driving arrest. She was also charged with having an open container of vodka in her vehicle, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop for police, operating with a suspended license, and various traffic violations. Rego had been attempting to pick up her niece after the girl’s cheerleading practice. (RC/Lowell Sun) ...Push it to the limits! Take it to the top! Cause we’re the Cops and we won’t stop!
