Close Enough

Jessie Lee Butler went to a liquor store in Eustis, Fla., driving his girlfriend’s car. When he returned, his exasperated girlfriend saw that he hadn’t brought her silver Dodge Stratus back, so she went to the liquor store and retrieved it. About that time, police came knocking: Butler was seen leaving a different car in the apartment’s parking lot — the silver Chrysler 300 had been reported stolen from the liquor store; its owner had left it running. Butler was arrested for grand theft, and released on bail.
