Deja Vu

Police in Tulsa, Okla., were called to a residence at 3:25 a.m. on the report of an injury. An officer found a 16-year-old boy who had accidentally shot himself in the leg with a pistol. Only that officer’s “quick action” in applying a tourniquet “prevented the boy from bleeding to death.” The unnamed boy was hospitalized in serious condition. Three months before, officers had responded to the same house, for the same reason, involving the same boy, who apparently shot himself in the same leg — but it wasn’t the same pistol: that one was confiscated by police, and was still locked away.
