Disciplinary Action, Florida-Style

The Palm Beach County (Fla.) Sheriff’s Office has disciplined Communication Officer Charles M. Morris, 52, after an internal affairs investigation revealed he put emergency calls on hold so he could play video games. Calls were held for as long as 40 minutes, and included a shooting, and a hit-and-run crash. As punishment, considering he has previous reprimands on his record, Morris was demoted — from training officer to dispatcher. (RC/Palm Beach Post) ...They need to give his desk an unlisted number.
