Don’t Move

Alan Knight befriended his neighbor, Ivor Richards in Maes Y Gollen, in the Sketty district of Swansea, Wales. During their “friendship,” Knight allegedly stole 41,570 pounds (US$66,495) from Richards’ bank accounts. After he was caught, the courts attempted to try him for theft and forgery. Knight and his family claimed that he was paralyzed from the neck down, and when his court appearances were scheduled, he was checked into the hospital with claims of seizures that had caused a near-comatose state. But the court obtained security camera footage. “Having seen the CCTV evidence from Tesco and driving the car, I have come to the conclusion he is putting it on,” said Judge Paul Thomas. “Although a very accomplished and determined actor, he is nothing in like the condition he claims to be ... He was seen wiping his face and writing things down, which are inconsistent with being paraplegic or in a coma.” Knight was ordered to appear, and after seeing the videos, pled guilty to 19 charges of theft and forgery, as well as making fraudulent money transfers. A court date was set for sentencing. (MS/South Wales Evening Post) ...I’m pretty sure he’ll be sick that day.
