Failure to Plan Means You’re Planning to Fail

Kendrick King, 19, says he and a friend were going to do some work on a Jeep, and he put his keys on the cover of a deep well in Chesnee, S.C. Bad idea: the keys, he says, fell through a crack in the cover. Worse idea: King’s friend said he would lower King into the well using the Jeep’s home-made winch. The winch cable, however, was only 50 long, and the well was deeper than that. The friend tried to winch King back up to the surface, but something got stuck with 20 more feet to go. The friend had to call 911 for expert rescuers to get King out. The keys were not recovered. (RC/WYFF Greenville) ...There may be a couple of brains in there too — they seem to be missing.
