Future Firefighters of America

Firefighters were called to a deck fire at an apartment in West Fargo, N.D. But when they arrived, the fire was pretty much out and the resident — who was on home oxygen and could not leave — was safe. Fire Chief Daniel Fuller said five neighborhood elementary school kids had seen the fire, alerted the occupants, and then controlled the blaze until firefighters arrived. “They had some super soakers [squirt guns], so they had some pretty good range,” Fuller said. “They had to refill a couple of times but they pretty much got the fire out. It was just smoldering when we got there.” (MS/Fargo Forum) ...Good thing it wasn’t a school fire. They’d have been expelled for those “guns.”
