Gemma Wale of Small Heath, Birmingham, England, was “screaming and shouting whilst having sex” at 5:00 a.m. at a “level of noise” high enough to cause neighbors “nuisance or annoyance.” Birmingham County Court Judge Emma Kelly said Wale also had been arguing with her boyfriend, Wayne, and was “banging around the house” and “running around in the property.” Since she had been formally warned about such behavior, including “loud sex noises” specifically, Judge Kelly sentenced Wale to two weeks in jail on each count — but then threw her a bone by ruling the sentences would run concurrently.
