Growth Opportunity
Maico J. Rosado Jr., 21, went on a “crime spree” in Allentown, Pa. First, he broke into a restaurant, but the owner lives in an apartment below the eatery, and heard the window break. He grabbed a gun and confronted Rosado, but Rosado had his own gun, so the two men agreed to both walk away; Rosado only got away with the restaurant’s keepsake “first dollar earned” that was displayed on the wall. Next, Rosado broke into a house to steal a plant he thought was marijuana. It was an ordinary houseplant. Shortly after that, a woman confronted Rosado rummaging through her car. When he turned around, he was holding her purse; he fled after pointing his gun at her, too, ordering her to not call the police. She did anyway, and he accidentally dropped the gun as he ran from them. He was quickly caught anyway. In a plea bargain, Rosado pleaded guilty to three counts of burglary in exchange for 12 other counts being dismissed, and was sentenced to 7-1/2 to 15 years in prison. (RC/Allentown Morning Call) ...An awfully wise decision for a guy that’s dumber than the house plant.Original Publication Date: 19 November 2017
