If You Don’t Like My Driving, Stay Out of Bed

Terry Brouillette, 71, was asleep in his Worcester, Mass., apartment, when he was awakened by a loud boom. He turned on the lights to see what it was. “There was almost a whole car” in his bedroom, he said. “It’s a good thing I have a strong heart.” Police say Jennifer Rodriguez, 33, hit a parked car on the street, then crashed into Brouillette’s apartment. “While speaking with the driver, officers detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from her breath,” police said. Rodriguez was charged with drunken driving, driving to endanger, unlicensed driving, and refusing to identify herself to a police officer. Nobody in the car was injured, and Brouillette suffered only a cut to his head. “I know my time will come. Apparently this wasn’t my time,” he said. “My mother always said God protected fools and drunks. I used to be both.” (MS/Worcester Telegram) ...And the driver still is.
