Keep Trying
Malaysia Airlines has issued a formal apology for a “tweet” it posted on Twitter promoting special year-end deals on the airline. The airline has had a bad year, with one passenger plane shot down by Russian-backed rebels in Ukraine, killing 298, and another passenger plane still missing somewhere in the Indian Ocean, presumably killing 239. In September, the airline pulled a promotion after asking travelers what destinations are on their “Bucket List” — places they would want to go before they die. In the latest promotion, it tweeted, “Want to go somewhere but don’t know where?” The airline apologized, saying it “intended to inspire travellers during this holiday period to explore destinations.” The Agence France-Presse reporter noted the airline’s stock has dropped dramatically since last year, due to the “disasters that have sent its business into a tailspin.” (RC/AFP) ...Nice choice of words for an article criticizing their choice of words.Original Publication Date: 21 December 2014
