Milton’s Long Lost Cousin

Firefighters were called to a Greeley, Colo., Safeway store for a fire alarm. When they arrived, they discovered three separate fires in different parts of the store. After finding empty lighter fluid bottles near one, an arson investigation was started. Investigators watched surveillance video, where they saw Christopher Adame, 18, standing near the pharmacy with two bottles of lighter fluid shortly before the fire alarm went off. The footage then showed Adame moving toward the dairy cooler, where one of the blazes occurred, just as firefighters came in and started putting out the first fire. Adame could then be seen coming in and out of the store and walking around while firefighters worked, until a firefighter asked him to leave. Adame was arrested on suspicion of three counts of first-degree arson, and one count of tampering with physical evidence. (MS/Greeley Tribune) ...His defense: he was simply preparing for the store’s fire sale.
