Police in New Hartford, N.Y., asked local media to put out an alert, wanting help capturing a stray “brown and white beef cow,” which had been seen wandering around Commercial Drive, a high-traffic area dominated by shopping, not feedlots. “Immediate assistance is needed from either the owner of the cow or from anyone with experience in handling this type of animal and the equipment to corral it,” officials pleaded.
