Mongo Only Pawn in Game of Life

Police in Leesburg, Fla., were summoned to a restaurant on a report of a disturbance: a man and his girlfriend were having quite an argument. When officers arrived, the woman took off in her car — and the man ran across five lanes of traffic trying to stop her. Officers chased him for his own safety, but when he couldn’t catch his girl, he allegedly balled up his fists to fight the pursuing cops. An officer pulled out his Tazer to subdue the man. The stun didn’t help, and neither did four additional shocks: the 62", 195-pound man took the Tazer from the officer. That’s when the officer’s backup pulled his pistol, and the man settled down and submitted to arrest. Floyd Thomas Coburn, 25, was charged with resisting arrest with violence, and “depriving a law enforcement officer of his protection.” (RC/Leesburg Daily Commercial) ...“If you shoot him, you’ll just make him mad.” —The Waco Kid to Sheriff Bart.
