No Wall High Enough
Some residents of south Texas are upset at federal government plans to build a fence along the border with Mexico. Citing problems such as environmental concerns and the economic impact of keeping Mexican shoppers away from stores, the McAllen Chamber of Commerce has started a campaign to demand that a wall be built — around Washington, D.C. “It can protect us from some bad characters, some bad legislation and bad ideas,” said Chamber president Steve Ahlenius.
