Nobody’s Home

Hootan Emami bought a house in Colorado Springs, Colo., at auction, and when he was finally able to go inside, he ran out — he found the body of the previous homeowner inside. Neighbors said that after the husband of the household died, the wife disappeared. “A neighbor and I got really sad and concerned because she was a great person so we called the police department to come on down and do an investigation,” says Gus Marquez. He said that was 15 months ago, and he called again 8 months ago. An officer went to the door, knocked, and left when there was no answer. (RC/Colorado Springs Gazette) ...Because that’s the best way to find out if someone is dead.
