Nuts!

A woman sued her neighbor for 3,866 euros after, she said, falling objects dented the roof, body, and hood of her car. But a Frankfurt, Germany, court said the damage came from a “fact of nature” the plaintiff had to put up with: in autumn, walnuts fall from trees. “In order to completely rule out the danger posed by falling fruit,” the court found, “the only logical conclusion is the possibility of entirely cutting back the fruit-bearing tree in question or surrounding it with a safety net.” The defendant had no such obligation. The plaintiff is stuck not only with her damages, but with the costs of the lawsuit. (AC/Local Germany) ...The plaintiff considered suing the tree, but money doesn’t grow on it.
