Out of Season

It was sometime between 3:00 and 4:00 a.m., and “I heard just two loud booms,” said Alicia Diggs, who lives in Orange County, Fla. She called 911. Four men were allegedly poaching deer, and responding deputies say the four men got four deer. But when officers arrived, the men had fallen asleep in their car — a Mini Cooper. One of the deer was in the back. The four deer were not necessarily shot. The driver had “purposely sped up and ran over” one of the deer, and the tiny car got “stuck on top of the buck deer and stalled,” according to a Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission report. Two of the men were arrested. (RC/WKMG Orlando) ...And tied onto the hood of the patrol car to be taken to jail.
