“The Noodle will be a permanent fixture in Springfield,” gushes Lynne Galia. “It’s mounted with spotlights to shine at night.” The 20-foot-long, 4-foot-wide, 10-foot-tall, 1,000-pound macaroni statue is in front of the Springfield, Mo., Kraft Heinz plant; Galia is a company spokeswoman, who always capitalizes The Noodle. The plant, not surprisingly, produces boxes of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. The local newspaper notes that the “cheesy carbohydrate clone” is about 7 miles away from another roadside attraction: the World’s Largest Fork.
