Romance, Millennial Style

William J. Cornelius Jr., 25, asked his 20-year-old girlfriend to marry him — at a Walmart store in Bangor Township, Mich. She apparently said yes: he bought a $29.62 ring for her at the store. They needed some other items for the wedding too, but they went higher-end for those items: Spencer’s Gifts. An employee there called police, saying they were shoplifting. Officers caught up with the couple outside the store and found a pair of gold earrings and a silver necklace allegedly stolen from Spencer’s in the woman’s purse. A search of Cornelius found a watch, an edible thong, a sex toy, panties, and “sex candy” from Spencer’s; Cornelius admitted stealing all the items, officers say, so only he was arrested. (RC/Bay City Times) ...Taking the rap: 21st Century chivalry.
