Squad 51, Where Are You?

“You can’t make this up,” says Oakland County (Mich.) Sheriff Michael Bouchard. He says Bryan Joseph Kryscio, 51, was arrested for stealing an on-duty ambulance from a hospital in Pontiac. He wasn’t ill. “He told the deputy he was hoping to go to the Booby Trap to see some pole dancing,” Bouchard said. The strip club is in Detroit, about 30 miles south. Why not take a bus? “Apparently he said there was no public transportation available,” Bouchard said. “Again, you can’t make this up.” Kryscio mostly went east, though, rather than south, and was caught in Sterling Heights. Kryscio, who apparently made no attempt to break into the ambulance’s drug box, has a record of previous arrests for robbery, breaking and entering, trespassing, and drug possession. He was held on $5,000 bond. (RC/Oakland Press) ...You can make stuff like this up. It’s just never as funny as the real cases.
