That’s Freedom?

Heinz-Christian Strache’s political party calls itself the Freedom Party. But when far-left activists urged citizens to give the far-right vice-chancellor of Austria the finger, he accused them — in court — of “public insults.” But an appellate court in Vienna dismissed the case. The activists, from a group called Left Now, had offered a series of reasons, and that meant their speech was legal.
