The ‘Win’ in Winn-Dixie

You won $5, a Winn-Dixie store employee in Fort Myers, Fla., told a man who’d handed her a lottery ticket, officials say. But the $5 she handed him, he noticed, came from her purse. The ticket’s actual value was $600 — and the man who’d presented it worked for the Florida Lottery Commission. The undercover agent arrested Crystelle Yvette Baton, 42. She lost her job, and acquired a grand theft charge. Her bond is $5,000. (AC/Miami Herald) ...That’s a lot to lose on one lottery ticket.
