A convenience store in Jacksonville Beach, Fla., was robbed by a man with a small pistol — and wearing a full Darth Vader costume, including the helmet. The clerk fought back, grabbing a jar of salad dressing and throwing it at the man, smacking him right in the helmet. He ran without getting any money, but couldn’t get into the getaway car without taking off his helmet; a witness saw his face. Police arrested Jacob Jeremy Mercer, 32, and noted he had a facial wound — and “several” handguns in a backpack. In addition to attempted robbery, Mercer was also charged with possession of a firearm by a felon. (RC/Florida Times-Union) ...Is anyone surprised that the Dark Lord has a felony record?
